Is it just me, or do some "Current Specials" end early?

Does a special get pulled when stock runs out?

For example I thought the Disc sanding special was to run through Thursday but it's gone now and replaced by bandsaw blades. I'm new to SS and have only been hanging out for the last 60 days. If this is normal then I better order quickly. My term for this would be "random marketing".

I can't tell you whether it is normal or not but I will say that when you see a special that you want..order ir now. Don't wait.

I maintain a list of items that I "want to order the next time"...if one of those comes up on a special I get it muy pronto.

I dont know what you mean by ending early?? SS only sends out 1 email on specials. Not like WoodCraft and Rockler that floods your email almost every day with a special.

My disc sanding special email said it ran until Tuesday, April 19th at 11:59pm EDT.

I believe that all of the email specials have a declared "cut off" date. If not, the special offerings would be eternal.

Correct, all of my "special" emails have a "cut-off" date. ?

I looked up the SS email and yes the Disc sanding special has an end date of Tuesday 4/19.

What is confusing (to me) is in the body of that email it reads:

So, get your order in before 11:59 PM Sunday night and you'll save on all the disc sanding items you purchase PLUS get a FREE table insert when you order our disc sanding package, too!

Makes sense now, the specials run for 5 days, not 7 as I had assumed. Just not reading the emails and pages correctly, and sometimes there is a special within the special.
