Wood Kunk!!!

I am cleaning up a SS band saw, putting on the new style guide bearings and cool blocks. I dont know what kind of wood was cut with this but everything is packed with what looks like that saw dust and oil sweeping compound, plus add some more oil to it, same color too. I have cut pine, Doug Fir and have saw dust, this will pack like a snow ball on a 35* day. Not to mention the blade on it was flipped/teeth up.
Funny thing there was a Mayflower moving sticker on it with an invoicing number so had to been move by them at one time. Maybe from down south and some oily pine species down there?
