Found these pictures from early 1990, back when I owned a 1954 Mark 5 that I had restored, new bearings, a new sheave and new paint and my 1981 Mark 5. Plus all the attachments.Much slimmer then and sporting a mustache.

Looks like a shop full of happy to me.

That was my shop in Walnut, IL I moved from there after my first wife died, that was a house we built together and after she was gone there were too many happy memories there. So when I re married I moved and moved all "racks" and equipment to my second wife and I's home.Still have the wall rack, but not the joiner, bought a free standing 6" x 36".also sold the Band-saw, sometimes miss . But have an older Delta which does a very nice job of replacing the SS Band-saw.

And here we are 26 years later, same '81 mark V on the right and the '57 on the left.

The '81 looks very proud to be sporting PowerPro innards. And both you and the greenie look much happier than you did in earlier pics!

Other then the Power Pro, I think the Greenies were the best made SS other then the ERs but a whole different machine. After the Greenies even they uped the HP I never had a power problem with the 3/4HP Greenie on the BS or Jointer. My nephew has a 54 greenie and I put on it a Menards SS Clone 6" jointer, but has a 4 blade cutter head, no problem surfacing a 5" ish Oak or Ash board. It runs smoother and quieter then a 1 1/8 grayling.
