I just uploaded Restored and Updated MAGNA 10E Owners Guide - 2016 that I have been working on with Extensive graphic restorations, complete text restoration, with added appendices and comment.

With appreciation to JPG and others who helped with detailed proof-reading it is as accurate and more legible, zoom capable, even word searchable.

I meant to add this earlier... Both 10E and 10ER manuals are finished and posted free to the Shopsmith world at the following Google Drive address, along with some other materials you may find useful.

Update 2/21/2018 The original direct link to the Google page moved to another location - The thread is now titled: Shopsmith Large Format Drawings, Illustrations and More and found at https://www.shopsmith.com/ss_forum/view ... 90#p185690

You can download both manuals completed as one file, and they are searchable, as well as hot-linked in the table of contents at the link above. Enjoy....

For the forum here, I could not post it as one file, though it is available in one file if you would like it.

You should be able to download the files now.

PS - Yes, with the gracious help of John Burger who made high resolution scans of his graphics in his original 10ER manual, the 10ER manual is next, along with a special project at John's request, the Preliminary 10E Magna manual.

My thoughts are that if I restore a machine, one person or perhaps a few benefit. If I restore a manual, all benefit. Blessings

Wow! It's absolutely gorgeous, Everett. What a wonderful gift!

I'll laser-print a copy to go with my 10E (and hope that my eventual machine restoration will do it justice). How was the original manual bound?

All the originals manuals I have seen were printed on 11 x 17 folded into 8½ x 11 and stapled at the seam. Most folks three hole punched them an put them in a binder back in the day.

I usually just buy the 8½ x 11 Avery Clear Sheet Protectors at Office Depot and just slide in the sheets full size, with front and back in one sleeve. They stay protected and the sheet protector has a left 3 hole binding.

To give you an idea about what goes into a manual restoration I have attached one photo of FIG 3 in the 10ER Manual I am working on.

It is in the interim stage of editing and will have new colored labels added when I finish this Figure.

I know a number of you have written me emails asking when the 10ER manual will be finished. It is going to take time.

Yes I am still planning on doing a Mark VII (1960's) manual restoration this year.

FWIW, I find the 'light' blue less legible than black. Perhaps a darker blue?

Your relocating them is a great improvement. *

I doubt many here realize the amount of time and effort this takes.

* fact, not a humble opinion! :D

I will explore another darker color. I do this in Microsoft Paint so I will mix a custom darker color and post some samples before doing the 10ER labels.

Thanks for letting me know.

Everett, can you use a real Model 10 color? :D

Seriously, these PDFs are AMAZING!

THANK YOU!

(I was joking about the color, just glad that you used
a different one for your additions. But, think how cool,
using a real Model 10 color for your addition typeface,
would be.)
