I wish that I could say that it was a pleasure to serve but None-the Less - You are Welcome and believe me if it was needed again I would be there to give whatever I might be able to give.

Here is an interesting fact that I read recently.

"According to statistics released by the Veteran's Administration, our World War II vets are dying at a rate of approximately 492 a day. This means there are approximately only 855,070 veterans remaining of the 16 million who served our nation in World War II."

A few years back I was back in my hometown for Memorial Day and was sitting with one of the long time residents, a WWII navy guy. He had gotten to old to march in the honor guard and was lamenting the fact. It was my honor to be sitting with him. A short while later when the guard did pass there were no longer any WWII vets in the group. The honor of our country is passing away, I got the news he had died not long after that. He had a pride that not many of us got to know from the Viet Nam Era.

Lest we forget - There are many still in harm's way today.
