You asked in the Sawdust Session chatroom if the parts for the Support Table could be purchased from Shopsmith. I have been waiting for an answer but haven't seen one yet.

I'm going to take a shot at answering your question, risky though it may be:

The brackets attach the Outfeed Table to the Shopsmith. The rest of the parts go on the underside of the table and attach the angled support bracket to the table.

The parts that go on the lower end of the angled support bracket (at the Shopsmith Support Tube) are the subject of the PDF files that Nick posted on the Blackboard.

The support stand (515362) sells for $52.86.

Thanks!!! I have been debating what to do. Order the Shopsmith table and modify it or go over to Woodcraft get a piece of their Phenolic 3/4 inch ply which I think is much lighter and stronger than what SS uses and build my own using SS hardware.

I have even investigated make my own brackets and such out of hard maple instead of metal. All they really do is hold the table up to the main table.

But your parts list is a great help, thanks ever so much

Before you buy that phenolic, Ed, let me caution you that the dado for the cross-table T-track is 7/16" deep. It weakened our table, which is 1-1/8" thick, but not sufficiently that we felt it might pose a hazard. However, the cut might effect 3/4"-thick material a good deal more. If you insists on using the thinner stuff, I warn you to either (1) forego the T-track -- which is one of the more useful elements in Drew's design -- or (2) add stiffeners beneath the table that run perpendicular to the T-track.

Since I wasn't there for the live show and this hasn't been posted yet, I'll ask anyway - can the outfeed table also be duplicated for an infeed side (or flipped around)?
