Stuff from the MS.

Not really a tool review as much as an observation. I needed to get a few trinkets from Her Highness the MS for the grayling, drive hub, another handle and the thing it screws into for the quill extender. I notice the black handle one is about 3/4-1" longer then the red ones. Like it better and still clears the sanding disc.
I still prefer the balled ends like the ER has though, I picked up a few of them from HogWinslow but they are shorter then Skips but not as pricey.

I agree with the balled ends. That is why i am going to turn a piece,of very hard wood into a ball, drill and tap it and voila! Now where can i find a lathe!

An ER but for thread cutting you need a Machinist Lathe with a power drive to the cutter. BUT I think you were pulling my leg
It felt good though

I think he was 'looking' for a lathe to turn the ball. Drilling and tapping does not require a lathe.
FWIW, I refer the Mark 5 handles.

JPG I know that and so does Chris, but he is a turner, I would Epoxy the ball on the shaft, and just do a die to cut the threads, but I know you new better or another way?

I mean on SS stuff you, Dusty, JB are right on and a few others, Rieble ect, I dont want to leave anyone out, but Jesus,JPG sometimes give it a rest
My rant for tonight, and counting the hours and minutes till out of here without mom tomorrow afternoon for 10+ days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JPG did you EVER look at his turned stuff??? Exmas ornaments, bird houses ect, He was being facious.

Oh dear, let's play nice!
It was all in good fun.
Speaking of turning, I set up my 10er in the garage so i can wheel it out into the driveway. Beautiful weather last weekend so i decided to turn some Freedom Pens! This was actually the first time using the 10 as a lathe and it performed well. A little different from my big Powermatic, but a lot of fun!
