I just realized I left off the cam 'length' dimension. = 11/16

Re: Need Shopsmith Mark VII Parts
OH!!!!
I am a victim of my own rushed-ness.
I saw cam and filled in the blanks.
I think I have one the traverse lock-cams in my tool box at home i'd be happy to part with.
the rack gear comes in approx 7 inch long sections right now. i do have 3 of those available when I get home. IF you are just missing two teeth, I'm guessing you only need to replace one section of rack gear.

Re: Need Shopsmith Mark VII Parts
If there is enough interest I will CNC a batch of speed control cams from Aluminum. My plastic one is fine but I made a 3d model for my CNC machine just in case.JPG wrote:He(we) be talking about the speed control cam.
If I get a chance tomorrow to take measurements of the release cam I will post the dimensions.

Re: Need Shopsmith Mark VII Parts
I'd be interested depending on the cost.
Re: Need Shopsmith Mark VII Parts
To make it worth it I would want to make about 10 pieces. Then I could bring it down in to the sub $100 range. Yes. I know that's a lot but it is a fairly complicated part requiring several set ups. Let me give it a "thunk over" and see what I can do for prices. By the way. I posted a thread about my rebuild here. http://www.shopsmith.com/ss_forum/commu ... 18522.html
I probably should have posted this here on the "repair" forum.

Re: Need Shopsmith Mark VII Parts
I'm sure whatever price you offer will be fair, but unless it's under $50 I probably can't do it. My Mark VII has been modified with a Mark V speed control, so as of now I can't even use the cam. I would only use it if I wanted to go back to a stock setup.
I'm interested, but for now I'll probably just have to watch.

Re: Need Shopsmith Mark VII Parts
I have what you are looking for. PM me with a contact #. I will text you a pic of the parts including mounting hardware. I have other head stock parts. I have 2 working motors both GE. Both have working start relays and capacitors. I put new bearings in and had the windings checked. They are both in excellent condition. I also have another working switch and key setup.
