I've been interested in spoon carving and came across this video. Anyone carving spoons out there?

My wife was carving Welsh love spoons a few years ago, but that was dry wood. I would saw the blanks out on the jig saw and she would carve them.

Haven't done any out of green wood however.
Paul Sellers has some videos on carving spoons you might like.

He also had some entries about spoon making on his blog.

Thanks Ron. I watched all of the first video. It was great, a very detailed session starting from an unsplit piece of green wood and ending with the early stages of knife work. He showed just how careful you need to be. Paul admitted he had cut himself with his hatchet once while working on a spoon blank. He showed and stressed safe methods for removing wood with ax and knife. I think everything I've seen from Paul Sellers has been excellent.
