The Power Pro in passive mode

We all know the MK V needs extra in feed/out feed support when working with longer/larger stock. So do non SS tools.
Today I needed to resaw a piece of 8/4 Popular 3' long. The Powermatic BS table is not big enough to support a piece that long so some out feed support was in order. My roller stand will not go high enough, at least I don't think so (I didn't try). The band saw sits just off the end of the Power Pro so I just turned it 90* and raised the fixed extension table. Instant out feed support.

great idea! You have a serious shortage of Mark Vs and a 10er to boot.... they do make the Powermatic Bandsaw look good though ;-)

There is no shortage of SS here. On the other side of the shop is a power station, shorty and my wife's Teal scroll saw. Then there is the fully restored 10ER. Oh and there are 3 more 10ER's in the garage along with a '53 Greenie.

John I always said that, and taught it to my 2 sons, with taste and moderation. You deserve to do it like Bill M and a few others here. I just clean em up a bit, new belts and lube and good to go for my use.
