I spent some time earlier this month getting everything aligned on my 510. Today when I wanted to use the bandsaw it was about 1/8 inch out - both vertically and horizontally. Here is my quick fix to get it aligned and adjust the stop collars. 1 pic = 1000 words.

1) Observe the amount of vertical adjustment needed.

2) ditto the lateral adjustment.

3) remove the bs

4) adjust ONE mounting post for "1" and "2"

5) loosen the second post and it's stop collar.

6) remount the bs(the loose post will allow easy insertion).

7) check alignment If lucky(it aligns) tighten the second post/collar.

Not terribly easy, but at least the second post will not be fighting thee.

I be assuming offset posts.

No offset posts. This bs came with the 1960s Mk. VII. However it worked the way I did it with both stop collars loosened I could move the bs to get it aligned. Tightened the front one, checked and made a milometer move and tightened the back one.

In that case, twisting the end casting on the bench tubes is de way for lateral.
