Do I need to worry about the T9 or johnson wax affecting (or is that effecting) my finish on my projects?

If you buff the Johnson's wax no.
However T-9 will rub off and can effect the finish or the applying of a finish.

I try to use Johnson's because I have used it for 30 years, never had a rust problem (living in hot humid Florida close to the salt water).
There are all kinds of more expensive, harder/easier to apply etc products but I see no reason to change from the winner yet.

I do knot know about the T-9 effecting your finish, but many here can testify that you have no worries with the Johnson's, as long as it is buffed properly.

effect: meaning]influence[/color]; result; appearance; to cause to happen

affect: to be fond of using or wearing; simulate; assume; pretend; to produce an effect on: influence

Your meaning can be represented by either spelling!:D
