Craigs List Find

Yesterday I read an ad on Craigs list. it was for a Power Kraft Scroll Saw.
the ad claimed the saw worked fine. There was a picture posted, and it looked in good condition.
The asking price of $8.00
I replied to the ad. By time the person got back to me it was already dark, but he said it was in his garage and I could check it out.
I checked it out and as the ad said it works fine, I cut thru some 3/4 pine
1/2 oak and 1/2 inch ply wood. the blade cut like a hot knife thru butter.
I asked the guy, ok now that I am here what is the real price. because I know $8.00 was not what this was going to cost me.
He said he figured he could get $8.00 to $10.00 for it at the scrap yard, but it use to be his father's and he didn't want it to be scrapped if some one could use it. $8.00 was the price. and along with it he also threw in 5 packs of new blades.
So this evening after it cools down in my shop I will spend some time cleaning it up, and getting to know it a little better, it needs a new part that sits on the wood, the part looks like a presser foot on a sewing machine. the air blower needs to be repaired or replaced and what ever else I discover.
As soon as I can figure out how to post pictures from my tablet I will post some.
