Shaper and molder help

Digging through my excess shopsmith stuff from purchases past I found these that I have never used. So as I have never used or seen one in person, I thought I would ask if I'm missing anything (aka do I need to add to the part wish list).

Here is what I found for the shaper. (the washers I don't think all go to this but not sure what else for).

And here is the molder, one blade is broken, not sure if you can run just 2 blades in it.

Any help would be appreciated. (I do have the split fence for the 500 I have so I guess that should have been added to picture)

I certainly would not run 2 cutters in the moulding head. Balance would be an issue

Ditto.

First and foremost - NO. Do not even think about running with only two of the blades (cutters) installed.

This might help you determine what constitutes a set of rub collars for use on the shaper arbor.

I think you have some duplicates. Some of what you have pictured with the shape arborr belongs with the molder arbor.

I think the arbor shown is not a shaper arbor, but a molder arbor.(5/8"?)

The arbor in the picture is a 5/8" universal arbor not a shaper arbor. The shapor arbor is 1/2". The arbor in the picture looks complete. The rest of the parts are extra. The 3 washers in the left center do appear to be shaper arbor rub collars. The rest appear to be from the 5/8" universal arbor but are extra since the arbor has all the parts.

The first picture is the 1/2" shaper arbor. the last two pictures are the 5/8" universal arbor.

Very helpful. Got my universal arbor assembled more and have to see what ever happened to the remaining shaper arbor.

So after all that, no shaper arbor. 7 regular arbors and 2 universals, but no shaper. Two final questions. Any point keeping 2 of the 3 shaper blades? Before I toss this, any idea what it is from? Was it from a 10er?

10ER headstock chucks are interchangeable with all other SS chucks. That one doesn't look like a Shopsmith part to me, but perhaps it fits the tailstock. Is the shank a #2 Morse taper? From the photo, I can't tell if the shank is straight or tapered.

As for the molder knives, I'd say that the chances of finding a single knife to give you a well-matched set of three are very slim. But hey, maybe you could make a couple of beading tools for lathe turning! :D

Well it is tapered, maybe that's why it came with. Maybe one of you turners could inform me as to what use a drill chuck would be in the tails stock? Turning small dowels?
