Adjustable Stop Collar Pads

I have some Teflon sheet so I thought I would make some rings to sit between the Adjustable Stop Collar and the machine. Not only do they protect the paint but make for a nice easy smooth adjustment of the collar due to the Teflon's slipperiness.

I scribed the circles with a compass and highlighted the scribe marks with a Sharpie. Then I cut them out on the scroll saw with a 2/0 blade. I can't believe how unround/awful they look. I should have had my wife cut them out. Oh well nobody will see that.

I did not have any teflon sheets so I just turned the stop collar over. :D

Actually, I never even gave teflon a thought. It just seemed natural to mount the stop collar so that the non-movable reference surfaces were together.

In the case you show in the photo, the stop collar would be in contact the carriage and locked to the table legs. The numbers are upside down but that is because I was not thinking straight when I attached the tapes. No loss. I don't use the scales anyhow. Buying them was, in my opinion, a mistake.
