I recently purchased a 1986 Menards PHD shopsmith clone with table saw, jigsaw, and belt sander attachments. Can't find a manual for this. Series number 2854741. Would a shopsmith manual be comparable?

Kinda, sort of, but not totally. They were similar, and i'm told some things could interchange, but different... Use it as a guide, not a bible.

I have used the Shopsmith manuals for the jig saw and the belt sander to repair the same Total Shop (TS)(Menards is same clone) equipment. They appear to be identical with the same size parts. The TS headstock has different size shafts with different lengths than the Shopsmith. Also the way tube is 1.675" compared to 1.75" for the Shopsmith. Therefore I have replaced the TS headstock with the Shopsmith headstock which will lock down and align correctly. The TS headstock manual is a waste of time.
