I had some issues to work out today which required me to pulling the covers and drop the motor on my first powerpro. Some where in the last couple of weeks someone had ask for pictures of the mounting holes so here they are.
Now for the record this is my work. I got the upgrade kit and did it myself so take it for what it is worth.

Next I got a picture of the sawdust that has collected since my last opening. As you can see not much.
I had to pull it apart because the head stock would not lock on the tubes and that was because the handle was not turning. You have to pretty much take a lot apart to work on the issue and this was not what I had planned for today. I just wanted to cut a couple of pieces for a project and then this project came along.

While I had it apart I did retention the belts. Hadn't had a problem yet but why not when I had the chance??

Now it time to button it back up and get the lift back on.......... glad I made those spacers for the location of the lift so all I have to do there is reassembly with no tuning.

I too am happy that you are able to do some work again.

Nice work on the countersinks. They look 10x better than mine.

I previously posted the following:

"I am hoping that either you or someone else will post pictures of the screw heads in a unit that is not damaged. For reference purposes, I would like to see what Shopsmith considers to be correct".

Those countersinks look as I would expect and the screw heads position themselves very close to where I believe they should be (level with the surface). I do realize that these are in a DIY headstock but they were drilled by a true craftsman. They are round, proper depth and no burrs or voids. The screw heads do sit just a tiny bit deeper than I would have thought.

Today was my first real day back in the shop after incidents beyond my control. It felt pretty good but by the end of the day I was really tired. Too many days of bed rest really takes it toll.

The heads of the screws should be flush and I've got them flush. If they were up too much then getting the pan back on could/would be a problem. Of course too deep and they is less metal to hold things.

Again I wonder at how little dust collects, less then in the past with the old insides it seems to me.

Belt just took a very minor adjustment, maybe didn't even need to do it but since it was open anyway I tweaked it. It has been a long while since doing any belt adjustments on this one. My newer one I've had to do twice since putting it together...... not sure why the difference between them.

I surmise the volume is greatly reduced.
