The inside of the overhead garage door was a Masonite type material and a Light Brown, it is 18ft wide. When closed it rally darkens the place up even with good lighting in here.
To day wiped it down with some MS and primed it with Zinssers White Shellac based primer. Tomorrow a coat of High Gloss Bright White paint, that sure will make a difference when working in here and it is closed.

Go get some white stripe paint from the highway dept..

When I've seen the road painters redo a small area, they put down the paint and then throw handfuls of tiny glass beads onto the paint. Probably don't reflect well if the beads are mixed into the paint.

I was just looking at the paints like JPG said, non say they are reflective, so it must be added after the paint is applied. Checking on that.
Ya, love my Amazon, just dont know at this point in time how to apply them to stick on a painted horizontal surface.

If only I had a sand blaster to spray the beads on. I doubt my HVLP system would work.
Just found this, does not say square footage per can, going to get 2, I just need to do the top 2 panels of the door.

From the Q/A, white primer is needed.(implies the beads are not reflective by themselves).

I know you where jesting, but it got me to thinking!! I wonder if they will work under a frosted bulb, not a bright clear beam like car head lights, but they say they use it for camera light umbrella reflectors.
Primer is white, then tomorrow the Bright White Gloss paint.
I think I will try it just for S n Gs, I am ordering some other stuff from Amazon anyway.
