Did little over several days to get to this point. So far everything has been done using a guided saw and guided router. OK I did use a kreg jig for some holes but I'm not sure you can even see them.

The design was done in sketch-up then I did a plywood layout by hand in sketch-up so things were pretty planned out.

I still have a few peaces to cut for the pull out shelf but I'll do that after it is together and I get the hardware(drawer slides). The space was allocated but without the hardware I didn't want to try and draw it in with sketch-up.

I have some light sanding to do then I can start putting things together. Shelf/frames are pocket holes then straight screws to hold them into the uprights which have dado's. Top shelf and bottom shelf are full shelves as is the bottom which the casters will attach to.

If the weather holds I might start putting it together tomorrow.

reible/Ed looks nice and I see you are utilizing your spider leg stand also.

If it is free standing - What deeps the shelves from racking?

Maybe it fastens to a wall?

The unit will will be free standing and with wheels. This is a variation on a theme so to speak, I have 3 other shelves that vary by factors but all use the same interlocking design. Each side has 2 verticals, the back 3. All shelves are in dado's and screwed in sides and back. The back corners have the verticals screwed together. Pretty hard to see that from the pile of parts.

I did get the shelve parts put together. Could even have finished it today but I'd rather be here inside where the AC is taking care of business.

So 56 parts are now 14.

Did the dry fit today. The top shelf and the bottom shelf were out of another sheet of plywood........... I cut all the dado's using the thickness of the other sheet of plywood which means the 14 shelves work fine but the top and bottom will not fit the dado's. I mean it is not even close enough for a big hammer to solve.

So I think it will be easier to take a light rabbit cut on three sides of the two shelves to size it to fit. I need only take off a bit as the dado is only 1/4" deep.....

It was a two shirt day and then I had to take off for some shopping and what not after lunch. By the time we got back I decided I'd had enough for the day and called it day. More fun weather tomorrow but I can at least route the top/bottom shelves and see how it goes from there. Assembly is difficult as there are so many shelves to align, at least I don't have to glue them..... It takes some effort and time so we will see what the day brings.

Here is a picture of the guided rail set up I used with my home made adapter of a Hitachi router. All the dado's were cut out of a single piece then cut into the strips. That way the alignment is the same for all the uprights.

It will be standalone with wheels. I do tend to mount additional things to the sides, in this case only one side will be available due to it intended location. It is mobile if it needs to be but it is not something that would move often.

Looks good Ed, maybe Kregg Pocket screws?
A real "dripper" here today, 93* 78% Humidity, 71 dew point, or vice versa.
Spent the early afternoon at the wood proveyer, then in the garage shop with the blow machine blowing 93* air.
Tomorrow is suppose to be a slight bit better.
