I used to have a cocker spaniel that liked to ride on my motorcycle with me. He was not fond of speeds above 40 mph but tried to go with me all the time.

That flashed me way back to a fond memory, circa early seventies. My mom drove a second-hand '66 Chrysler Imperial land yacht, the front seats of which had the approximate dimensions of a living-room sofa. The family dog, a toy fox terrier, loved to ride. She would perch her little behind atop the back of the driver's seat, and plant her front paws on my mom's right shoulder. All around town they rode. Only the cool doggie-goggles were missing.

Those doggie goggles are not just 'cool', but responsible.
