Have a couple of questions. after sharpening and replacing blades how high should the cutting edge be from the high point of cylinder that retains them? Also how high should out feed table be in relation to knives. The knives in this one are about 1/64 lower than the out feed table. Is that ok ? I saw one video showed using a straight edge blade it traveled approximately 1/4 inch? Could someone one show me a video and or set me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Tom

The blades should be the same height as the out feed table.
I set the in feed table to the same height as the out feed table ussin a level as a straight edge. Then I set the blades so they just touch the straight edge.

I find that the directions in the manual are the easiest to use and the most accurate as well as giving consistent results. They might even be posted on the SS home site.

I totally agree. That is the same as I have always done. The blades definitely should not be 1/64" below the out feed table. The method in the SS manual is the best way.

Amen and Amen.
It will NOT work well unless the blades are coincident with the out feed table

Unless I missed it, the jointer manual is NOT on the SS site. Or there instructional page, there is a site for it but when you open it sez basically, no longer available.

When laying the piece of wood on outfeed table and then rotated the cutter it traveled 3/8 of and inch on both ends of cutter blade on all 3 blades. Turned out great on finish.
