Allen threaded insert

While looking for my carriage lock nut I found this threaded insert but cannot find its home.
It is not for the way tubes, I looked.
I have the infeed/outffeed table brackets (555997), I found four of these type with the set. I checked the table extension legs they have all hardware.
This is a picture. It fits our Allen tool, so it must be for the shopsmith. I found it under the shopsmith.
Any clue?

The exact thing happened to me 10 or so years ago. I found a set screw under the Shopsmith when I moved it at the end of the day. I kept it in a pill bottle on a shelf of a LONG time but never found where it came from. That SS has since been upgraded to a 520 and then a MK 7 with a Power Pro head stock and double tilt. Never found a missing set screw.

According to my cheat sheet of set screws, the only 1" long flat point set screw is used on the band saw table.
Band Saw Table (Table Tilt)
#91 516571 5/16”-18x1” Black Oxide Alloy Steel Flat Point Socket Head Screw
This set screw was at one time item # 86.

You are so right. I am still learning how to read a ruler.
The list of 1/2" long set screws is a bit less definitive.

You are so right. I am still learning how to read a ruler.
The list of 1/2" long set screws is a bit less definitive.

No! I don't think so. That set screw is very clearly not 1" long. Hope you find its home.

Did you check for the rip fence biasing screws?

Had the same happen to me about 3 years ago, never did find where it went. Must not have needed it because it still works great.

Maybe not from the SS, a rabbit hole rejection that ended up there.
