I just perused it a little while making dinner. Top left of page 27 scared me a little. This book is full of suspense....what will happen?!

I meant the saw photo where he has one hand near the exposed blade. It's on the actual page 27 listed on the page scan.... not the electronic page. Still... this is an interesting reference even though some safety questions come into play throughout.

I do not see that he is 'dangerously' close.

Thanks for that! it's a great find. I love those old vintage books. I got a lot of smiles looking through that. Might even have to try some of those projects sometime. Also, where can I get one of those crazy "flexible shafts?!"

I've seen the flexible shaft attachments come up on eBay from time to time. I would have never thought to to attach the whole sanding disk to to it.
