What is Going On?

Post by dusty »

As I sit here right now, there have been only 16 posts today. I sure hope you are not all out shoveling snow or something like that.

Yup, this has been a really quiet day for some reason. Not much football either. Just the Army Navy game.

Out in garage replacing two sheet of dry wall that came down from the ceiling. Each sheet had about half the number of nails it should have had. Lasted 37 years do I guess I can't complain too much. :D .

Used screws this time and put in one about every 6 inches. Got it taped and first coat of mud.
Probably finish it after the holidays.

Quite last night too.

We have snow coming in about 6:00 tonight and then again on Sunday so I expect I'll get some shoveling in but not yet.

Didn't get to the store yesterday so I had to go today. Weekend, near Christmas and a snow storm coming. I hoped I was wrong about how busy it was going to be but I wasn't.

Walmart superstore and many many lines open but I made sure I could get in one of the 20 items or less express lines. Turned out many people can't count very well or can't read signs.... more then likely those are not the reasons but carts with 20 times 2, 3, maybe even 4 all in those express lines. I ended up finding a short quicker line down the way, so did a few other light weight shoppers so things moved along really well.

Now we have to go out to get some meds at sam's club and then to grandkids set while the parents go to a party. Hope that the snow is too bad when its time to come home. Too early to tell from the weather maps.

Anyway this will be a night when I'm away so no more posts until much later if at all for the day.

Not any snow in Snowflake. 62 degrees. It would melt if any fell.
Just cleaning and organizing stuff in the shop.
The Morris chair and ottoman went to the upholsterers yesterday.
Getting ready to finish up a jewelry chest build.

We got 3" of snow last night. So yah, I've been shoveling/snowblowin all morning. Got a good size drive and 1st snow always takes the longest. Might get in the shop here soon after coffee.

We had snow Monday (a couple of inches) and Thursday night (about 4 inches). Today it has warmed up and we are getting rain showers.

I have been out in the shop making a dolls bed (for 18" American Girl size doll) for my granddaughter's Christmas present.
Made good progress, just needs some final sanding and and a finish,

;) Yes I will post pictures when it is finished.
