This video shows an older Mk V powered by a treadmill motor to achieve slow speeds for large turning.
He also has several more videos showing how he did the conversion in more detail.

Re: YouTube Videos featuring Shopsmiths
I have actually done that press like you show in the first thread post before, however I used the large Turning Face-plate to attach the press block.
It worked really well on our project.

There is a lot of videos on the shopsmith , one reason it is a good investment.

Re: YouTube Videos featuring Shopsmiths -10ER Speed Control
Wonder what speed ranges are obtained with that unusual/reversed pulley arrangement? ***everettdavis wrote:10E /10ER Speed Control Running https://youtu.be/L3vhOK-FqVU

Appears to be an 'early'(0-8) version.
*** the reversal comment is wrong. The use of a 5" pulley in place of the 4" pulley gives a (0-5) range of 2313 to 8500. I do not know what the extended 5to8 ratios are(assuming the earlier sliding sheave).

Re: YouTube Videos featuring Shopsmiths
As you watch that second video, it shows him measuring it with a tach at just over 210 RPM at the quill.
