Yet another under SS storage system

Al asked me to post some pictures of my solution for under the SS. I have four 510's that I leave in the horizontal position and another 510 as a dedicated drill press. I built cabinets under the four of them before the move here to Vegas because I knew that until I can get a shop built on the property I was going to be restricted to the two car garage. It all worked out pretty well as far as functionality. I made each cabinet in a different drawer array to allow for all the different stuff I need to store and organize. The one cabinet for instance is for abrasives. Sheets, belts and drums. The cabinet under the surface sander has a long drawer on the bottom to store the other two sanding drums. The construction is fairly straight forward. I dadoed in the drawer supports into the bulkheads and the drawers are birch ply with simple rabbet joints. The drawer pulls are my usual shop pulls made from scraps with a cove and roundover. The SS table support legs can extend down below and block a drawer from opening but the only one that really does is the one for the tilting axis router as you can see in the picture which is on its own carriage and except when in use can easily be moved side to side to allow access to the drawers. All in all it works well for me. One of the things I did differently in this shop which has worked out very well is putting the table saw, work bench and router table all at exactly the same height which allows them me to pass plywood and projects easily around as they will slide from one table to another with ease. For instance I can slice up a sheet of ply very easily because the work bench and router table will support the ply as I feed it through the saw.

I think I'd move that saw blade in IMG_3878.JPG to the center. So I woodn't catch my leg on it.

How did you attach the 4" dust collector hose to the table saw?

They make an adaptor that reduces the 4" to the SS. As a rule of thumb keep your dust collection hoses as large as you can up to the tool and then reduce them at the tool.

Nice ,,very nice,, I wish I had that much room .

I love my SS,,,, it is easily stored when I need the garage to work on the car.

I am starting to gather more and more for it though .
