Storage / Bookshelf Unit

This is a storage unit / bookshelf I just completed. Not exactly fine woodworking, but I'm pleased with the look (a blend of Asian, mid-century, industrial , woven) plus it was fun build and works well in the space.
I've been working this summer remodeling our lower level. There are two alcoves in the space, one at each end of the room. We added a flat screen tv in one and this unit in the other. The space is 72" wide and 42" high and 9.25" deep. The shelves are melamine particle board from Lowes. At the unit corners I have 1.75" square pieces of cherry. You can't tell on the photos but the cherry sits .5" proud. The unit is bolted together and all the hardware is visible. Full disclosure: This is not an original concept, found in early 70's Sunset publication. I changed the module size and materials.
