If you order stuff online this may save you money on shipping costs.
I ordered some small items from Home Depot 3 days ago to be shipped to the store (no shipping charge). The email confirming the order scheduled delivery to a store 20 miles away not the one 1.5 miles. I called customer service the next day, cancelled the order and reordered from the CS rep. He asked if I wanted it shipped to my home. I said I didn’t want to pay the shipping chargers. He said he’d waive them. Package arrives tomorrow.
My wife ordered some things from Wayfair (about $50). The color shipped did not match what was on their website. Their site quoted $24 to ship back to them for a refund. I called CS, complained that the item shipped was wrong and wanted them to issue an RMA so I wouldn’t pay shipping. He said they would credit my credit card and I could keep the items unless they asked for them within 30 days and issued an RMA. That’s good customer service.
