Raging Sale Price on 510

After looking at this link one has to wonder. If a person could purchase a 510 on special for $2,449 and it cost another $500 to add the 520 package could one not have a new 520 for $3,000?

Actually, Jim, it is more like a nightmare.

I bought my 510 to 520 Pro Fence System (555982 Upgrade) for $329.00 at a Traveling Academy. I didn't realize it was such a good deal.

The current price of $499.00 today is a 35% increase in two years. Talk about inflation.

Nope, it's not inflation. It is confusion; the retro kit (555982) is currently priced at $340.55.

I am confused as well. I do remember being offered discounts at the two traveling academies I attended 2 years ago. I believe they varied on different items. I looked at past invoices and they seem to reflect 10 and 15% discounts. Jim

I am now less confused than I was. The Model 510 Pro Fence Retro510 Kit (555982) does not include the two telescopic legs.

Becareful with this one. I don't know what the difference is but:

Part #555982 is for use on 510s purchased 1986 and later.

For 510s purchased prior to 1986 (use the larger #) part #555983.

BTW, if planning to do an upgrade and you don't have the telescopic legs - you will want them. In fact, I occasionally wish I had another one or two.

I agree with desiring an extra set of telescoping legs. In fact I just purchaed a used set. I hope they arrive as advertised. Jim
