Lathe rest compatibility (10ER vs. Mark V)

Hi all-
I've got a 10ER and I miiiiiight have been attempting to turn an old 4x4 fence post, which result in a very 'exciting' ejection of the piece. In its trajectory, it appeared to have encountered the lathe tool rest, which prompty broke just below where the actual rest connects to the cylinder.
There is a decent looking lathe tool rest on eBay, but it is for the Mark V. http://www.ebay.com/itm/142277071273?pb ... fresh=true
I'm wondering if this will work on my 10ER.
