So I am getting a welder tomorrow and one of my first projects hopefully will be tool rest that has two posts on it for easy access while hollow ingredients out bowls. I have seen one before (hence the idea) but I can't for the life of me find a pic.
Any help?
Please!

I'm not sure this is what you are talking about but the 505/510/520 has a tool rest that has two places the tube can be located. You can see it here:

I've not attempted to use one of these on a 500 but it might work there too.... might being the key word. The newer machines come with the arm with the two holes as do the upgrade kits for the table.

I think he is referring to the tool rest itself, not the tool rest arm.
I have no idea what he is referring to as having seen one.

No...as I recall it may have used the post that this would use. I thought I saved a pic...but alas I didn't. It seems it was a two post tool rest that slipped into the carriage and would raise and lower like a table. Oh well, if I can't find an example maybe I'll make and post one.

OK I know what you are talking about now. Yes there is a post here with that sort of a modification but I can't remember enough about it to search for it.

are you referring to boring bar support system where the post has a wide based attacked but also, has a couple "goal posts' like pieces on each side and then another flat piece is attached to them to keep the boring bars level?
As in the Carter hollow roller system

That's my only guess.
Be well,
