Does anyone use the Evolution Rage 3 Sliding Miter Saw?

I need to replace my chop saw, and need a sliding miter saw. The Rage Blade cuts steel, aluminum, wood etc.

Adding mitered bevel cuts in steel could be a game changer for me, and leaving the cut ready to weld opposed to my old chop saw would save a lot of time.

Before I go this route, I thought someone here may have had some experience with them.

With the proper blade couldnt you do that on any miter was?

I would suspect you could. The blades are available even down to the 7" range and up to 14"

I just had a need and this would save space in the shop with a single footprint. Didn't have a sliding miter saw in this shop and saw Tractor Supply had them online order only, at $199

Looks like a nice saw ,,I picked up a double miter saw at Harbor freight a couple years back , the only reason was i wanted the bigger blade to cut 2x8 for the kitchen floor joist , It is big and heavy , it is also belt drive , the belt may be a disadvantage in the long run since parts for chicago tools are tough to find some times.

I got it on sale for less then 150.00

I don't work a lot of steel or metal but the blade may be some thing to look into .

Be aware that a sliding-tube SCMS needs extra clearance behind it if you're putting it against a wall.

I ordered one and will write a review when things warm up a bit and I reorganize three buildings and reset the shop into what I want it to be.

Still have to build out the air compressor pre-tank cooler / water extractor, and rebuild and update my media blast cabinet for the metal shop, along with fabrication of some service fixtures I need to design and weld up. I will use the saw for much of that metal work.
