No, I'm not buying any more SS's, I wasn't even in a vehicle. I spend some time on Pinterest now and then looking for good ideas to steal and this morning for no particular reason I typed Shopsmith in the search-box. Much more stuff kicked up than I expected. There are further options at the header and one choice I liked was "Mods". A most pleasant "trip"...

People keep saying that Pinterest is for women but obviously they have not been there lately. All kinds of shop stuff, even farm stuff. I don't think you have to sign on to look. I do use it a good bit and I have maybe a dozen folders where I save stuff. Tons of workbench ideas. Lately I have been looking at lumber storage ideas.

I've visited there more then a few times, the first time out I ended up being there for a couple of hours! I signed up and get emails with suggestions of new places to visit based on my previous interests, so shopsmith shows up a lot. It is interesting as a lot of those are from right here at the forum. Just a warning, this place addictive and I have to watch how much time I spend there checking things out, I actually found I have to cut down to about a half hour a visit so I have time to do other things that need to get done. I do save things of interest but by making a link or coping the images to a saved folder. And yes I do see a few names I know from here so I know others are also regulars there.

I guess I'm different. I'm not looking for a Shopsmith or any Shopsmith accessories or parts. Instead, I'm on the lookout daily for those rare fantastic deals on a load of hardwood to put my existing Shopsmith to work. Mine gets lots of hours in the Winter, but rests in the Summer. But all year I'm on the lookout for people who have loads of hardwood then want to move out of their garage and into mine.

Farmer are you saying that you Took A Trip Without Leaving The Farm?

I browse Pinterest often, lots of project and DIY stuff out there. Had not thought of searching for ShopSmith until this thread - was quite delighted in some of the results !!

For example, a shop made thickness sander for the ShopSmith - great idea and that's gonna come in handy !!!

No, that is my problem. Hardwood is difficult to get around here unless I buy at my local hardwood store, but sometimes other local woodworkers haul in loads from the eastern forests. Once in a while they bring too much and are willing to sell it off for a nice price. When that happens, I step up fast and buy wood from them.
I have the tools I need, but getting wood at bargain prices isn't easy here.

I hear ya , Just had to rub it in a little,,,,, spent a few nights in ND , nothing but wind and cold when I was there,,,,,,,
