BLACK JOINTER TABLE??

Purchased a jointer and band saw and both had black tables. I never knew them to be from the factory like that. Is there a paint or process to enhance them or is the finish easily removed?

Never knew bioshield would turn anything black. I have a. An but I have not used it for years but I don't recall it turning anything black.

Evaporust will turn cast iron a
very dark gray.
