Good morning, I thought I would let the crew know what I am into. I have a 12' x16' basement shop. The concrete floor kills my back and knee so a few weeks ago I was at Home Depot and saw some Brazilian Cherry laminate on sale for .60 per square foot. I decided what the heck, I will give it a try. I purchased a bunch and hauled it home. Once at home and I reconsidered the project I decided the workbench and heavier tools shouldn't be on the laminate full time. Phase II.............we founds some nice porcelain tile on sale at Menards for a buck and some change. I decided to run a row of tile around the outer edge of the shop for the heavy stuff to rest on. Once I moved the heavy stuff the sheet rock walls that had never been finished looked pretty bad so I have been finished the rock off and painting. Two of the three walls done after today so maybe I can start putting things back. The bottom line is the laminate is still stacked up awaiting installation. I will try to send some pictures when I get a bit further along. It is amazing how projects tend to explode.

Good morning. The shop refresh is going well. The porcelain tile and laminate floor are down and two walls painted. I have cleared out lot of ''STUFF" and still finishing up sorting things.

I thought I would add a picture with the ugly gold cabinet painted. I managed to get that done in the driveway yesterday between rain storms. Nice little cabinet for my drill bits, tap and die sets and measuring tools.

Looking good!

Like the light fixture, don't think I've ever seen one like that. Looks like a half a gatling gun.

Hi Ed, Surplus from Ft. Leavenworth many years ago. A couple of years ago I re ballasted the light for T8 bulbs. The old ballasts weighed as mush as a paving brick. There was originally an ornamental cover over the end of the light but I managed to lose it somewhere along the way. I have 6, T8s in the middle and two T 12s on the sides. I am old and need lots of light.
