GE 3/4 hp motor bearing replacement

Ok I have the shaft out of the motor the bearings are shot and need to be the placed the motor itself runs just fine. I have cleaned all of the sixty year old sawdust out of the motor. My question to the group is what do I need to know about pulling the old bearings off and pressing the new ones on before I get started? I would post a pic but for some reason that technology is beyond me tonight.

Pulling - Get a 3 jaw puller from Harbor Freight
and pull them off. That is not the way to pull them if you want to reuse them but in this case it does not matter.
Pressing - First, you don't need a "press". Most important is that you should only press on the inner race. You can use a deep well socket of the appropriate diameter if it is long enough. Otherwise a piece of conduit or pipe of the correct diameter. Make sure you set the bearing on the shaft square and gently tap on the inner race to start the bearing. Then just tap it on all the way.
