That's a nice job. It'll be really pretty when it's installed.
Did the old one just fall apart? Is it a pump action?

it is from a old Remington 22 pump,,, best we can tell its from the 50's, or later it belongs to a buddy , his uncle left it to him .

Said it got broke years ago while he was hunting .

It looked to have been broken and repaired several times .

Got the Escutcheon installed this morning , once the finish is on it should be good to go .

Outstanding. I can remember wanting one of those in about 1962 or so. Finances just did not permit, but you did an outstanding job on restoration.

Really nice job on the rifle. It's good to see it restored and especially satisfying when you can do it for a friend.

Been a while, haven't seen one of those models for a long time. Glad to see you didn't just throw it away like so many do when something breaks. Good job.
