Nothing fancy, soft white bread, American cheese, slice of ham, a little mustard. DO NOT BURN THE BREAD.

Kroger wheat sandwich bread(2 slices), two slices of GFS american 120 slices/5 lb grilled in a HOT cast iron square skillet(about 5" on each side) with butter in the skillet(refreshed when flipped over). Almost black. very crunchy!!!

Kroger bread $1.25/loaf.

GFS - Gordon Food Service

That is american CHEESE, NOT cheese food!

We did it yesterday. Mary's sandwich was on plain white bread. Mine was on home sliced Italian bread. Both grilled in cast iron with lots of butter. They were accompanied by Calamari stew. The Calamari was from Rhode Island (my birth state and early home). It was simmered in a spicy thick tomato broth.

OK, the way my mother did them.

Grab 2 slices of whatever bread
you have. Interesting bread for
extra points.

Butter the outside of those pieces,
then, grill them. After they get
toasty, flip ONE of them. Put
the cheese on that piece. Put
the cheese on the flipped slice.
Make sure the other piece is
up to temps. Slap it on the other
slice.

Or, the abridged version. Butter
two slices of bread, And grill those
slices, to perfection. Flip them,
add cheese to the cooked sides.
grill until done.

Basic 10ER, Parts machine. Will be a semi-dedicated drill-press machine.
10 ER, a "survivor" of the trailer fire, in the back yard, needing restoration. Has a Mk5 headrest. Finally, stripped down.
Numerous parts, for Model 10 stuff. Except for lower saw guard, A and B adapters, I've got it.

Looking for one more, or some 9 inch extension table raisers.

Another outstanding recipe here. Prepare your stomach, mate. So, my favorite sandwich is made of regular white bread, American cheese, bacon, and tomatoes. Yeah, tomatoes. They'll make the sandwich way juicier. I also use this sandwich maker https://www.amazon.com/pie-iron-for-cam ... B088H42W2L to prepare it on fire. It tastes different than a regular sandwich. So, guys, it's a must. Anyway, keep sharing your favorite sandwich recipes. It's a good topic to discuss, I guess.
