Need lathe toolrest -- can't find one anywhere!

Hi everyone-

I use a 10ER in my high school design tech class (it is such a fabulous example of mutli-purpose, quality construction, design elements, etc.) and one of my favorite things to use it for is the lathe.

However....about a month ago, an off-balance 4x4 (and probably excessive headspeed) caused the wood to fly off (yikes) and in the process, snapped the cast iron shaft that holds the toolrest.

Unfortunately in a bit of a miscommunication with the custodian, the whole assembly (tool rest and shaft) were thrown out.

For the life of me, I can't find a replacement. Anyone happen to know a source? I'm also curious as to any other compatible tool rests.

Thank you-

I have an extra stem with the rest holder on it here at moms, that I told you about last time you asked, I do believe I have a extra tool rest at home, but is 90 miles away. I was home last week and forgot about you and it. My bad.
I have your address. I will get the stem and holder out to you this week. I dont know when I can get the tool rest out to you though.

In light of Johns posting, and I dont have access to the tool rest for a couple months, let me know what you want me to do.

Thanks for the link. I have to say that $50 + $25 shipping seems like highway robbery...maybe I'm living in a dream world where I feel like I should be able to pick up this part for closer to $25 total??

Hi again--thanks for thinking of me! At this point, I think anything is better than no-thing. If I had the stem and holder, then I'd be able to keep my eye out for the rest seperately, potentially for a lot less money.

Too bad I'm late, I had this in the shop. I think it is for a 10ER. It got left when I sold the 10ER.
