In need of some Mark VII parts

My Mark VII's gear rack is in really good condition except for 2-3 teeth that are missing in one spot. Of course they're missing in a spot that gets used a lot, so it's kind of annoying.

Does anyone have an extra gear rack they'd be willing to part with?
Also, I am in need of a couple of "traverse release" parts. Last summer JPG was kind enough to give me dimensions for the parts so I could have them made, so if I can't find the parts I might just have to talk to a metal worker about having them made up. The traverse release parts I need are listed below. Thanks!
501361 - Handle - Clutch (Incl. Setscrew)
501362 - Cam - Clutch

I have the 501362 cam here somewhere. I sent the handle to another forum member a while back. Send me your address and I will mail it to you as soon as I can find it.

Are the 'missing teeth' due to belt rub?

That's great Don! Thanks! I sent you a PM.
JPG,
That's definitely worth looking into. I don't believe it's rubbing, but I'll verify that.

The rub is caused by belt 'flutter'.(flapping?)

OK, I took a closer look. The gear rack is missing 2 teeth, and from my untrained eye it looks like a belt could have rubbed them off. The teeth were missing when I bought it, so I don't have the complete back story on what happened.
I ran the SS with the access port open and watched the belt as it was running. I ran it from slow to med/hi (I don't run my SS at max speed). It had a small amount of flutter at times, but most of the time it seemed to run just fine. When it did flutter it did not contact the teeth. So, I am unable to tell if it was a previous belt that caused the damage, or if it was this belt. Not sure how to proceed. I obviously don't want to put a new gear rack on only to ruin it, but with my short test I ran I didn't see any contact.

You already know how I 'eliminated it'. Every tube/rack I have possessed has had worn teeth.

I have a set of tubes with a very nice set of rack teeth. They are totally intact last I checked. Let me know if you are interested and we can work something out.
