FWIW

I have a 5/8 arbor that came with my used SS ,,, the locking tongue washer is missing the tongue.

Does any one know if these washers are available from SS or if there is a source for them ?

Before I call HQ and ask,, I thought I would ask here first.

Did you ever find a replacement source for the tongue washer?

I searched high & low for them a few months ago. No luck, unless you count custom manufacturing.

I ultimately bought a used one from a member here who had an incomplete arbor himself, and bought a whole new arbor from the mothership.

What you are looking for is a Hardened Tongued Washer I believe.

Try http://www.whittet-higgins.com/part.php?series_id=80

You will have to find the 5/8 size and item number then a distributor.

Try looking at places that sell trailer parts. Seems like tongued washers are very common on axle spindles. However, the small 5/8" size may be a problem. When I Googled around a little mostly trailer parts supply dealers came up.

'In the old days' they were used on front wheel bearings.
