Can someone help me with the size of the hex screw that holds up the motor? Mine is stripped and will need to replace it, as it won't hold the motor up anymore.

Looks like this.

The specific one that is stripped is the inside screw, but I think they are likely the same size on both ends.

Since it is an odd type of screw, if you know the exact name of it that would be great too.

With a little more googling, I now know it is called a set screw. Unfortunately I am not with the shopsmith at the moment to get it out and examine it further.

I'm also assuming it has a flat point. The main thing now, I need to know is the thread size and size of the hex.

Thanks again... still new to this refurbishing thing, but I am having a blast!

A 10E or a 10ER? 3/8-16, cup point.

It was a 10er, and thank you! I found it easily after your post. Getting it out was less easy :)
