Attaching router to mark v 500 saw table

I am trying to mount a router to the underside of an extra mark v saw table. It doesnt look like there are many good places to drill and tap bolts too, I did this procedure on my 10er saw table and have been having problems with it loosening. Probably need to use some threadlock when I remount it.
Should I plane down a piece of red oak to 3/8" or 1/2" and through bolt it to the router and then through bolt the oak to the saw table? I am trying to loose as little depth of cut as possible.
Any other suggestions I'm more than happy for.
