Mounting the Mark V Planer

I have a dumb question. I have a Mark V mounted planer. Looking at it logic seems to indicate that I mount it on the right side of the power head when standing on the control side of the power head. This way all of the power switches are on the same side.
The picture of the planer in the catalog has it on the other side of the power head. I don't ave a manual so I need to ask.

It is mounted on the same side as you would mount the jointer or bandsaw.

Not having a Pro Planer, I can only look at the catalog photo and try to understand.
'the catalog photo has the planer mounted on the accessory side as you observe. Also the planer's infeed side is facing the rear of the Mark 5.
It appears that mounted this way the rotation of the attached coupler is top away from you - or counter clockwise. If mounted on the spindle side but facing the front, the rotation would be reversed. top toward you.
Now I understand why the electronic chart on the PowerPro says select reverse.
THIS WAS EDITED BECAUSE AS USUAL I HAD IT BACKWARDS THE FIRST TIME
'WHY' the planer is mounted on the 'left' end of the headstock.

First that provides the correct rotation for the cutters(plow cutting).
Yes that means infeed side is from the 'back'.
As such the planer power switch(THAT TURNS THE HEADSTOCK MOTOR ON/OFF) needs to also be mounted there.
All that changes with the power pro - reversible so it can mount on the quill end - and the power safety switch becomes redundant(also undesirable unless you like to go through powerpro boot up each time you turn it off/on) because the infeed side is now on the headstock power switch side. It also means a separate power plug for the feed motor(especially if running the PP at 230v).
A lot to consider re 'why'.
