Does anyone have a picture or know where I can find one of the very rare 10E fence with the bolt on rear table clamp?

Skip Campbell fabricated one in his shop and alluded to one that Magna Engineering made.

He said of it: "Here is an upgrade rear fence clamp for the 10E rip fence which did not come with one. There was an optional 10E upgrade for this purpose but they are hard to find. This one turned out great. The end of the fence was drilled and tapped 1/4 x 28 for the cap screw to hold it in place."

He shows his compared to the newer rounded 10ER Fence with Rear Lock mechanism in this photo.

I can place this one in the Preliminary Manual I am restoring with an annotation that this is a custom fabricated rear lock for an original 10E Fence, with those annotations.

To my knowledge this is the last piece I have to add to the Shopsmith Preliminary Manual restoration project.

Would this suffice, if we can't find one of the OEM Optional Accessory photos?

None of the Owner's Guides I have had a picture of one, and I have not found an accessory flier describing one, though several folks including you and Skip have seen them.

I would not use that one. It is not even close. I have the one rpd posted. I will email it to you.

Got it, have it reformatted and the Manual updated with it, and posted for everyone. Thanks again John.

John, I checked mine on my 2 recent acquisitions, and unfortunately, neither is what you are looking for.

Thanks for checking Dan but that is what I would expect. They are extremely rare. They are in the class of the lower saw guard and the motor pulley guard. In all the years of looking I have seen one lower saw guard and one 10E fence rear lock on eBay. I have never seen a motor pulley guard.

How about the cast iron auxillary (extension) table that we each have? Rare, but not extremely rare? :)

I forgot about that one. Yes, it is in the same class. Yours and mine are the only two I know of. The other one is the original 10E table raiser. It is also in the same class and there were actually two iterations of it. The original had straight sides on the main casting. The later one had sloped sides and a different height locking knob assembly.
