Have lines in planed board

After planing a soft spruce board on my SS pro planer I have a series of very small lines on the board. Can anyone tell me what might cause this? It's a used planer I purchased. I don't notice them on harder wood.

Probably a nick in one of the blades.

Only if the line(s) run the length of the board. If the lines are cross grain (width of the board) I would suggest feed rollers.

Assuming the lines are small raises in the wood -
Re-feed your wood without changing the setting, but changing the location of the wood as it enters the planer. If the lines disappear the cause is a nick in the blades.

sounds like all three cutter blade have a nick/s in them.
fastest way to solve the problem with out sharpening the blades is to move one of the blade a little. that should help a little under till the blade need to be resharpened.
You can also use a card (hand) scraper to remove the lines.

Is it possible you fed the 'soft spruce' faster than the 'hardwood'?

I tried at different speeds and it is still there. The lines are perpendicular to the board and not the length of the board which is what would happen on my old planer when I had a nicked blade. I thought maybe lines from the feed rollers in the softer would but was wondering if anyone had seen this before? I tried posting a pic from my phone but it wouldn't load. Said file was to big. I may try tomorrow to send another pic.

Sounds like you could use a thickness sander,
