Any circular saw especially good for the True-Trac system?

I have a True-Trac system but I'm reluctant to do the drilling on my favorite circular saw, because it looks as though I'd have to drill the necessary holes in awkward places. I don't want to mess up one of my favorite tools.
Is there a particular make/model of circular saw that is easiest to mount on the True-Trac system? My idea would be to dedicate that saw just to the True-Trac. I'd prefer a corded saw.

Video say any saw , if I was going to use one I would probably dedicate one just for the trac saw.

It would depend on your intended use of the system. If you are going to just be cutting sheet goods then any good sidewinder should work fine. If you plan on doing heavier sawing like table tops or doors then get a worm drive. They will give you the power to saw through 1 3/4” hardwood.

Between a worm drive and a side winder, is there a significant cost differential?
Just how often am I going to be cutting something that warrants a worm drive?
The answers to these two questions would result in quick resolution for me.However, I would suggest a dedicated saw for the True-Trac.

Since the Tru-Trac was purchased primarily to save money over buying a track saw, I simply used the circular saw I had on hand...a thirty year old Sears Craftsman. Put a new blade on it, and it works great.

Part of woodworking is making what you have work for the project at hand. What is your next project ?

My concern isn't so much cost or power as the ease of doing the necessary modifications to the saw to attach the baseplate. Is there any make/model of saw that is particularly easy to modify for the baseplate?

I don't have the system so what I did was look at the manual online and there is a picture showing the saw they used for the pictures, one could guess that would be a good choice since that is what they used??

Go to their website and find the two videos that explain exactly how to do it. Very clear instructions.

Well, I guess I'll just take the baseplate with me and go saw shopping. I'd hoped that somebody might have pioneered the path before me, but I'll report back on what I find out where "there be dragons."
