DC 3300 ISSUE

The noise level of my DC 3300 dust collector increased significantly awhile ago, along with some vibration and loss of suction. I thought that it was a damaged fin on the fan and ordered a new one. When I took it apart, I found that the fan was in good shape but was clogged with shavings from my jointer. Cleared them, put it back together, the noise level went down, vibration stopped but the suction level is not where it used to be. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what was the solution?
Thanks,
Ted

P.S. Saw in my search for answers to this issue that some are using trash bags vs. the shopsmith bags. Lowes sells clear Leaf bags,30 bu. with top closure that works very well!

Sir- I too had similar issues-
I disassembled the DC- cleaned all and then-
I spent some time sealing WELL the areas where the components are screed to get her.
After strips of foam seals, I sealed again with latex caulk.
Then a gentle “beating” of the shroud, a run through the washing machine.
And, when replacing the dust bag make sure it is clamped well.
The dc suction improved dramatically.
Hopefully this will work for you as well
John

Thanks for the input! I'm making some cabinets for our laundry room, when I finish, I'll take it apart again and replace the seals along with the fan and see if that helps! Just planed some soft maple this AM and had shaving blowing back through the planer but when I disconnected the hose, it picked up the shaving and sawdust just fine! Thanks again!
