Nice pens,
They fun to turn.
And a nice selection of new accessories. They should serve you well.

Good job. Love to see these 10er lathe threads, or any Shopsmith lathe thread, for that matter.

thank you, yes they are it was VERY relaxing to do. I have wanted to set the SS up as a lathe ever since i got it 3 years ago just never put forth the effort or $ to do so. I figured it was about time lol.

I really like my super nova chuck, liked the G3 but now I normally reach for it first now.
Do you have a speed changer on your 10ER? I have one but have yet to use it, still don't have the machine back together after a rebuild. Going on a couple of years now but I keep hoping it will be next year.... Not a major problem since I have several other machines but would like to get the feel of the 10ER for turning before I part with it.
Also a fan of Easy Wood tools. Never can have too many things to make your life easier in woodworking. I'd rather be turning then sharpening.

on 1 of my 10ers i do have the speed changer. Im not real worried about having a second speed changer because, i am gonna upgrade my main er to skips control box with digital tach and 1hp motor. when i do that i will move the speed changer over to my secondary 10er.

I'll be interested to see how that set-up will work for you. I've been considering the same thing.

I cant speak for it as of yet but some things to consider 1) its a skip product, how can it be bad 2) its a true varible speed controller 3) digital tach 4) bigger motor.... What could be bad lol jk but on a serious note tho, i dont think going that route would be a bad thing at all. Im going to buy the speed controller box from him and add my own motor you can find them cheaper online 189.00 for a grizzley 1hp motor. Sorry im a penny pincher lol.
