I found a small black hex screw after cleaning up from using the lathe and I can't seem to locate it's home on the 510. And I can't figure out how to upload the pic on from my phone.

How a verbal description?

Thread size - pitch, length, head shape . . .

IF a 5/16-18 x 1/4 set screw, likely the set screw securing the tubes to the base casting.

??? Those set screws in my machines are 5/16-18 x3/8 (502051)

5/16-18 x 1/4 (222458) set screws are used in many different locations

If it is other than a set screw, i.e. it has a head wider than the body, my wild guess guess it is off the end of the caster assembly control rod.

My bad. He did not say it was a set screw. If other than a set screw...

Sorry I did not specify but it is not a set screw.

check the caster control rod ends. These screws have a tendency to work loose and/or shear off.

Ok so I found it it's the button head socket screw for the tie bar guard. Which I wasn't even using any near where I found it lol

I was guessing the length above. I stand corrected!

Tie bar 'guard'? Trunion?

His nomenclature is correct (for a 510/520). p/n 514115
